If you are trying to organize a trip to Guyana by yourself, this is the website that you needed.
When we decided to travel around Guyana, we realized that there is a lack of independent information in the Web. Our trip was a bit difficult to organize, especially from a logistics point of view. So I hope this website helps you to organize your trip. We are trying to make easier for anyone that wants to discover this wonderful country but prefers to do it without the need of contacting a tour operator. It is designed with all the details (email addresses, phone numbers, prices…) that you need to organize your trip.
First of all, a little introduction about ourselves. We are a young couple, both environmental scientists, under 30. One of us is volunteering in Georgetown for a few months. The other came to visit, so we made a trip during 15 days around different areas of Guyana. We traveled in August, the beginning of the dry season.
We are sure there are people with radically different experiences in the same places we visited. Our intention is to tell our story. You can take your our conclusions based on our experience. Obviously we didn't visit the whole country, so we only cover certain areas of this beautiful country. But using this website you will definitely get all the information you need to do same itinerary. If you find some info is missing, contact us and we will update it.
This page is under construction, but we hope you find its contents useful. Any suggestion you might have, you can contact us in that section. It is our first website ever, so it is also a way to learn how to design websites.
All the pictures used in this website are our own pictures. So if you want to use them for any purpose, just send us an email and we will be willing to share them with you.
Finally, we want to thank every single person that helped us during our trip. Most people were extremely useful and warming. Without them, our trip and this website wouldn't have been possible.
Enjoy the site!
